Why We Exist

Why We Exist

Celebrating Over 20 years of dedication in Islamic Montessori Education

At Read Institute of Texas, our purpose is deeply rooted in Islam. We believe that education is not just about academic achievement—it is about shaping the heart, mind, and soul of a child. As the only Islamic Montessori in Dallas, we are committed to nurturing children who are spiritually grounded, intellectually curious, and morally upright.

At the heart of our philosophy is the understanding that every child is an amanah (a trust) from Allah. We approach this responsibility with ihsan—offering excellence in care, supervision, and education. Children at our facility are constantly supervised, not just for safety, but to ensure they are gently guided in every moment of their development.

We provide unreserved love and affection to every child, recognizing that young hearts and minds are pure, free from greed and ego. Our learning environment is warm, safe, and built on sincere connection, allowing children to feel at home. Once the child is emotionally at ease, we begin the process of nurturing their fitrah (natural disposition) with knowledge, character, and faith.

We believe that the foundations of a righteous personality are laid early. That’s why we emphasize not only academic growth, but also tarbiyah (spiritual and moral upbringing), focusing on adab (manners), akhlaaq (character), and ilm (knowledge). Whether in Deen or Dunya, we guide every child one-on-one, based on their individual capability.

Mission

Mission

Our mission is to provide a holistic, Islamically-rooted Montessori education that empowers children with both knowledge and character. We strive to offer non-discriminatory, undaunted care and education of the highest quality, where children are taught in a way that aligns with their developmental needs and their spiritual potential.

Through a curriculum grounded in authentic Montessori methodology and enriched by the teachings of Islam, we aim to instill a deep love for learning, respect, and self-discipline. Each child receives personalized attention, including one-on-one Qaidah instruction (for students aged 4+ and full-time enrollees), and daily reinforcement of Islamic values and etiquette.

We exist to support parents by helping raise children who are confident in their identity, guided by faith, and equipped with the tools to make sound, ethical decisions in life. When our students go into the world, they carry with them the knowledge, character, and compassion that Islam and Montessori education together foster.
